(Stock image. Different pairs of hands joined to together in the shape of a heart. The background seems awash in the light of a camera flash/lighting giving a reddish/pink hue.)
Jealousy
killed his brother
His offering given half-heartedely
What
his brother had
Offered fully
Yet
Angered
destroyed
his brother
Rather than looking
upon the heart
Exiled and alone
Blood guilt
Led to
Division
Hate
War
Groups killing groups
Vying
for territory
And
Control
And
Entered in
Distrust
Suspicion
Violence
Racism
Slavey
Humans harming humans
what an atrocity
Years past
With the enduring
Growing
rise and fall
Of threat and harm
Sin
Resurgent
In time
A war cold
of mass
Violence
Halted only
By the fear
Of greater revenge
all the while
Evil plots in the shadows
And hate dresses
In different names
Era by era
The heart never changing
And Nations boil over
In threat
And violence
Where the supposed logic
In it
Is divorced from
Reality
The audacity in it
Debated in
Theatrical discourse
That there is no good
In a proportional response
Yet the world thinking
That there is nothing
More
Available at all
Until enters In
An even greater
Chaos
Again in this hour
Those who have
No care for humanity at
All
Ego over the other
At every cost
Destructive thoughts
Reigning in them
Always
Eager for proving
Their mettle and power
Evil
Spilling forth at
Every breathe
Pretence at control
Posturing war
Desiring it
They keep
Good company
With the snake
In the tree
Wanting their names
Written next
To Herod
And Hitler
Wisdom cries
How long?
Feuds never to
End until someone
Else
Calls an end to it
Until
One chooses
Peace
Over pain
Until
One
And the many
reign in
Anger
Hate
Revenge
within them
And instead
Rebuild
Relate
See
Invite in
Humanity
Until
The many
So much more
Than the few
Follow Wisdom’s
Voice
And
Invite
in
A
Disproportionate
(Abundant)
Love
